Jen is a public librarian based in central Scotland, having previously worked as a school librarian. She is currently chair of the CILIP UK Youth Libraries Group and a past judge and chair of judges for the Carnegie Medals. She often chairs children’s and YA author events at book festivals including the Edinburgh International Book Festival and Lancaster Lit Fest. She contributes to the Today programme on BBC Radio 4 on the subject of children’s literature. She is a guest lecturer in Library and Information Science at City, University of London.
