Matt Baker is a BAFTA and RTS award-winning presenter and one of the UK’s most recognisable television personalities. He is best known for presenting BBC One shows including Countryfile, The One Show and Blue Peter.

His book, A Year on Our Farm: How the Countryside Made Me, became a Sunday Times bestseller. Alongside his own productions for Channel 4, Matt has enjoyed continued success with programmes including Our Farm in the Dales, which follows life on his family farm, as well as Travels with Mum & Dad, Travels in the Country USA and Our Dream Farm with Matt Baker.

Before his television career, Matt was a British gymnastics and sports acrobatics champion. He is now a lead presenter and commentator for the BBC’s gymnastics coverage, including the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, World Championships and European Championships.

In 2010, Matt was runner-up on Strictly Come Dancing. He was awarded an MBE in the 2022 New Year Honours for his charitable and voluntary fundraising work, having helped raise more than £45 million for BBC Children in Need through 12 consecutive years of the Rickshaw Challenge.
