Smriti Halls is an internationally bestselling, multi award-winning children’s author, published in more than 40 languages worldwide. From humorous picture books to lyrical non-fiction, her books are full of hope and heart and are loved by children and adults alike. They include Rain Before Rainbows, Elephant in My Kitchen, The Ways of the Wolf and the I’m Sticking With You series. Smriti has been a Writer in Residence for Booktrust and is a patron for the School Library Association; she works widely with schools, libraries, festivals and bookshops to bring a love of reading to the widest audience and also runs workshops for the Bedtime Stories Prison Project. She has helped judge several prizes including the Costa Book Awards and the Booktrust Lifetime Achievement Award. South Indian by birth, British by nationality and London-loving at heart, Smriti lives near Richmond Park with her husband and three sons, reading, writing and dreaming up new stories.
