About

Learn to draw with Rhinoceros and his hilarious friends! With step-by-step instructions and colourful illustrations, this practical fill-in art activity book gives you the skills to unleash your inner artist.

This is a very different art book. This book starts with how to draw a straight line and ends with landscapes covering tone, perspective, people and animals in between. Split into 10 BIG IDEAS, 6 top tips and 7 warm-up exercises, you will learn all the key aspects of drawing, along with wisdom and jokes from Tiger, Crocodile and Orangutan.

Illustrated by Mr Griff, each animal has a role in the book. Orangutan is the art expert with plenty of advice. Tiger is the artist in residence and can be a little dramatic. Crocodile tends to make a mess and is always hungry (and has relatives in New York) and Rhinoceros has a lot to learn.

The practical art illustrations are provided by Luke as author and illustrator and provide a really accessible, but thorough guide into the key skills involved in learning to draw. By working through each activity, the reader is guided comfortably and carefully through each process - all made simple and easy to follow. For example, if you can draw a sausage, some spaghetti and some beans, you'll be able to draw a human being!

Practically Awesome Animals is a series of practical activity books that use step-by-step instructions and hilarious animal characters to teach kids how to draw, bake, cook and create comics.
