Bio
Isabel Thomas is an award-winning science writer, presenter and educator. She has degrees in Human Sciences from the University of Oxford and Education Research from the University of Cambridge. Isabel has written more than 300 books for young audiences, published by Bloomsbury, Collins Big Cat, DK, Hachette, Ladybird, Laurence King, Oxford University Press, Pearson, Phaidon, Puffin, QED, Raintree, Schofield & Sims, Welbeck, Weldon Owen, Wide Eyed and Wren & Rook in the UK, and translated into more than 30 languages. Her narrative non-fiction picture books Moth: An Evolution Story and Fox: A Circle of Life Story (Bloomsbury) both won the prestigious AAAS Subaru S&F Prize for Excellence in Science Books. Isabel also writes features for The Week Junior Science+Nature and BBC Bitesize, and helps deliver outreach projects for a wide range of organisations, encouraging children from non-privileged backgrounds to pursue arts and science careers.
