FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Entries are open 6 March 2024. The deadline for entries is 23:59 on 27 March 2024. 

Entries are welcome from UK Publishers. Books must be published in the English language. Books which are self-published will not be considered. The Awards are open to the UK and Ireland. The launch date of the book must be provided during the online entry process and books must have been published between 1 Jan 2023 to Dec 31 2023. Books should be available to purchase at the time of entry – in the UK, in bookstores and/or online retailers.

The Awards Ceremony takes place in person on 30 September 2023. More to be announced soon!

This is outlined in the entry form and includes general information about the entry. You will also be required to upload a hi-res image of the book jacket, an author or illustrator headshot and the publisher logo. Optional inclusions are bios and press releases. No financial information or book sales results are required. 

Entry is free of charge, although please note that all entries that are shortlisted must contribute £1,999 + VAT in return for a substantial promotional package. Discounts will be available for publishers with more than one title on the shortlist: Up to 3 (£1,699.15 - 15% discount). Up to 4 (£1,599.20 - 20% discount). Up to 5 (£1,499.25 - 25% discount). Publishers with less than 10 employees are eligible for their fee to be waivered but must pay a £250 admin fee.
